We are delighted to announce that our own Jillian Dwyer has been awarded Business Person of the Year by the Newcastle Business Club.
The award is in recognition for Jillian’s work as the first female president of the Newcastle Junior Cricket Association and pioneering new formats for the juniors focused on increasing participation, skills and fun.
The backlash from the traditionalists was huge with relentless accusations of dumbing down, pandering to Mums and ruining children’s future prospects. Jillian’s tenacity and dedication sustained her throughout and participation rates significantly increased.
More importantly, the children had fun.
In her working life Jillian has the same enthusiasm and dedication for SMSF accounting where she is widely recognised as one of the leading advisors in the region.
